Program Description: 
The NEWCAP Food Pantry Program is for emergency food supplies for households in a crisis situation. Food pantries are supplemented with commodities, which are supplied through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). TEFAP also supplements soup kitchens/shelters. County serves:
Food pantries distribute food through 11 counties. Commodities may also be used by a shelter or soup kitchen to prepare congregate meals.
Eligibility Guidelines: 
Recipients must be Wisconsin residents and live in the pantry's service area. Clients must have an income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines established for their household size.
Income is determined by self-declaration. Application Process
Pantry participants are asked to fill out a form and provide proof of residency, the number of dependents, with their names and birth dates, and valid identification.Homeless persons may use the address of a local service agency. People who come to meal sites and shelters do not need to declare income, document residency, or provide identification to receive meals.
