Saturday morning Grocery: 10:00 am.
Crowds start to gather outside the gym door just before 10 every Saturday morning - men and women, old and young, some with children by their sides.
Almost everyone is armed with a cart or empty bags.
The Ministry of Manny has been supplying food to the needy for over 10 years.
More than 100 families are greeted at the sign-up table each week by church volunteers.
No type of identifier is required.
While we cannot guarantee what we can offer, most weeks each family is stocked with potatoes, onions, fresh produce, bread, a selection of canned/dried foods (cereals, pasta, soup or canned vegetables, baking mixtures, rice, etc.) a dessert, a meat and a dairy product.
If you want to volunteer to help, you need to attend a short training.
