Details

Root Cellar serves people in need of food assistance and nutrition education.
The goal of this program is to offer emergency food assistance to neighbors facing food insecurity as a barrier to self-sufficiency.
As part of this effort they offer their neighbors the opportunity to participate in food education workshops that teach them how to cook, plan meals, as well as shopping and preparing healthy meals on a limited budget. Business days and hours of operation are subject to change on holidays. They utilize the neighbor selection model for their pantry. Their pantry is set up like a small grocery store that neighbors can access once every 30 days. One of their coordinators will help neighbors make purchases and answer all their questions. Please call for further information.
