The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank exists to service short-term, unmetfood needs of individuals in the greater Baton Rouge area throughexisting or social service providers, churches/synagogues and otherorganizations.

Established in 1984, the Food Bank's purpose is accomplished by supporting or providing services such as food distribution and educational programs.

They provide food to more than 120charitable agencies such as pantries, meal sites, homes, shelters, andsoup kitchens.

They help 7,300 people each day through the Food Bank network.
