Long Island Cares and the Harry Chapin Food Bank distributes food to more than 540 soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, group homes, senior sites and daycare centers.
They also operate the First Stop Food Pantry at 10 Davids Drive.
First Stop Food Pantry is open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and acts as an emergency food pantry that assists those experiencing their first hunger crisis.
