Details
FED UP is working to alleviate hunger in the Desoto community and educate residents on social services and resources available to them.
FED UP will access clients to available resources and opportunities necessary for gaining and maintaining food security.
If an individual is in need and insecure about their ability to obtain food, he/she qualifies.
Case managers will also determine if needs exist in the areas of counseling, business attire, career counseling and resume assistance, and personal budget preparation; all services are provided by volunteers/members of the sponsoring organization, Johnson Chapel Community Church.
FED UP will provide food for approximately 30 to 90 days.
The hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 PM- 8:30 PM and 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM on the first Saturday of every month.
