The Spirit of Sharing (S.O.S.)


The Food Bank, Inc. began operating since June 1, 1988.

They are an ecumenical group of churches and civic groups that have come together to help the needy of New Braunfels.

All distributed food is donated and all work is voluntary.

Most of their donations are like non-perishable food.

However, although they do not ask for money, they also receive monetary donations.


Hours of Operation:


Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
(closed on public holidays)

Each family receives "basic bags" of food, which, depending on the number of family members, is supplemented by canned food, bakeries, and other items.


The "basic bag" contains frozen meat, 1 dozen eggs, flour, rice, sugar, beans, pasta, tomato sauce, oatmeal, and peanut butter.
