In general, income should be 200% or less of the federal poverty line.


Households that do not comply with the income guidelines but have mitigating circumstances, such as loss of income or other financial problems, can be served on a case-by-case basis.


The client, however, may go to the Brookside Hunger Center during months when he or she cannot receive food here.

Required Documents:

Proof of address/place of residence:

Current utility bill (postmarked, a statement by Ohio Works First OWF) or other official documents such as that received from ZUS).

Proof of income:

Public assistance letter, social assistance letter, Medicaid card, or payslip.

If your income exceeds the guidelines, you must bring proof of extraordinary medical expenses.

Family Size Proof:

Birth certificates, medical records, or school registration form.

In general, closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and all major holidays.
